AdvanceMe Named as 2007 Finalist for American Business Award Receives Nod for Best in Class MIT and IT |
atlanta (April 15, 2006) – AdvanceMe, Inc. (AMI), the nation’s foremost provider of Merchant Cash Advances for small and mid-sized businesses, was named a Finalist this month in the Best MIS & IT Organization category in The 2007 American Business Awards. Hailed as “the business world’s own Oscars” (New York Post , April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business. Stevie Award winners will announced during the annual gala on Monday, June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. More than 700 executives from across the U.S.A. attended. The ceremony was videocast on the Internet and broadcast on radio, and hosted by Larry Wilmore of TV’s THE DAILY SHOW with JON STEWART. More than 2,000 entries from companies of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Best Overall Company, Best Executive, Best New Product or Service, and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program. AdvanceMe will be competing in the Best MIS & IT Organization category along with such esteemed companies as NCR, ETrade and John Hancock Signature Services. AdvanceMe’s nomination into this category surrounds its MIS/IT department and its development of an Enterprise Information System (EIS). AdvanceMe addressed the issue of workflow management throughout the customer lifecycle by developing a system that organizes and collects information from pre-application to submission completion and then continuing throughout the life of its main product, a Merchant Cash Advance. This proprietary system rivals that of much larger corporations, and enables AdvanceMe to effectively and efficiently provide working capital to small and mid-sized business owners. “We are proud to have our distinguished IT Organization recognized for their development of this cutting edge system and are excited to be in the company of such leading edge companies. We strive to constantly improve our service to our customers through investment in technology, and have a great IT team behind us supporting that objective,” explained Glenn Goldman, chief executive officer of Capital Access Network, the parent company of AdvanceMe, Inc. “The system has enabled AdvanceMe to speed up the merchant approval process while increasing the work capacity of our employees. We are proud to honor our IT department and its achievement with this award nomination and look forward to the awards ceremony in June.” Members of the Awards’ Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs will select Stevie Award winners this week from among Finalists. Finalists were chosen by business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April through early May. Nicknamed the Stevie for the Greek word “crowned,” the elegant Stevie trophy was designed by the same company that makes the Oscar and the Emmy. “Being named a Finalist in The American Business Awards is an important achievement,” said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards. “It means that independent business executives have agreed that the nominee is worthy of national recognition. We congratulate all of the Finalists on their achievement and wish them well in the competition.” Details about The American Business Awards and the list of Finalists and Winners in all categories are available at www.stevieawards.com/aba.
